End of Summer fun and embroidery

So, a couple weekends ago there was a festival in a neighboring town (about five minutes away). They had a bunch of boy scout exhibits and girl scouts and senior centers and three BIG blow up playground things. Michael thought the best part was bouncing, of course. He finally went into a jumper and actually jumped. the whole time he was in, he was going up to other little people and asking if they were his friend. I'm telling you, this kid makes friends wherever he goes! They also had a "maze" blow up thing that he spent a lot of time on. At the end of the maze was a 6 foot slide that you climbed up and slid down. He tackled that one way too quick! He seriously scares me with his physical ability sometimes.
Afterwards there was a fireworks display. This was the first time we dared to go to the actual place that the fireworks were going off. Believe it or not, he has an aversion to loud sounds. Anyway we went. You would have thought I just bought him a car. He was laughing and telling be all about how the fireworks light up the sky and talking about which one was the biggest.....During the fireworks he laid down on me and said "thank you so much for bringing me to the fireworks. it's my favorite thing in the whole world!" I had tears in my eyes, of course. He's such a nice boy. He must have thanked us a hundred times on the way home too! I'm so glad he enjoys the little things!!
On a different note:
I made these for Sarah after she had her first baby. I also made some washcloths. I think the hedgies turned out the best, but for my first go at embroidering tee shirts, I think they all turned out nicely!
I made this for me, it will eventually be a purse. I've just gotten a little side-tracked.
I didn't get the job, for those of you who were wondering. She decided to go through an agency. So, I don't know......We'll see how my treatments go and then go from there. They do seem to be making a difference though. At least the cocktail they have me on is making a difference.
Michael is doing well in speech therapy. He loves the therapist and she is really good with him and he listens to her.
He's asked me to make him a couple more things. Working out the specifics on a Chinese dragon softie and a dinosaur, they don't seem as easy as a woo...
Our house hasn't sold, still. And the market is only getting worse, so keep praying!
Geoff still likes his job. They've been doing a lot of remodeling, so a lot of switching desks and so on for the last month, so that's a little frustrating, but the job itself is great. We're still hopeful of an easy winter....

have you thought about opening a craft store for your job (online or otherwise)? I mean, really. You could wholesale some Amy Butler fabric, sell your crafts...

Yay! Michael's such a sweetie!

I was chatting to Chloe for about 10 minutes on the phone the other day, about nursery, glue, aprons, dressing gowns and knickers! They grow up so fast!

Your embroidery looks lovely - can't wait to see pics of the bag :) How are your hands doing, does the embroidery work better for you?
